Location
USC School of Cinematic Arts
Role
Production Manager
Project type
Themed Miniature Golf Course
As the Production Manager and design contributor for Murder in Wonderland Miniature Golf, I spearheaded an unprecedented project as part of USC's inaugural Themed Entertainment program. Over the course of a year, I worked tirelessly alongside a small team of fellow students and professors Joe Garlington and Waylon Dobson, to ensure the success of this Alice in Wonderland-themed mini-golf course.
While my official title was Production Manager, my involvement extended far beyond coordination. I took on a significant role in the design process, investing my time in understanding and executing the creative vision. I learned Adobe Illustrator, adapted the design files, and utilized a laser cutter to produce model pieces for all 9 uniquely themed holes. This established the framework for how the golf course would be built full scale, using a CNC router rather than a laser cutter.
My leadership qualities naturally emerged as production manager on this project. I organized and motivated the team through meticulous task management while maintaining a positive and supportive environment for everyone involved in the project. The enthusiasm and determination I brought to this project have helped me realize my passion for managing and organizing creative teams.
My contribution to Murder in Wonderland Miniature Golf exemplifies my abilities in production management, design assistance, and effective team leadership, resulting in the successful realization of an ambitious themed entertainment project.
